Established in 1939, Lounsbury Dalhousie has grown to become a premier GM auto dealer in the Dalhousie region. In step with the growth of Dalhousie due to the building of the New Brunswick International Paper Mill. The Lounsbury Company Limited opened a furniture and automobile branch to better the needs of their customers in the immediate area. Throughout our tenure we have strived to include the best possible customer service with top-notch repair/maintenance work and comprehensive new and used cars, trucks, minivans and SUV inventories.

In 1952 a new Motor Building was completed and the automobile branch moved to their own premise at 548 Willams Street, with the Store remaining at 414 Willams Street. Increased business necessitated more space and in 1970 the company bought the Henry Mark property on Williams St. adjoining the Motor property. In 1972 they acquired 10,000 sq/ft of parking space on Queen Street and in 1976 bought the adjoining Steeves Motors property on George St. The Store branch purchased the A.J. Lavoie property in 1969 for future expension.

Based in DALHOUSIE, Lounsbury Dalhousie has continued to expand as it now serves all of the greater Restigouche County area with new and used automobiles.
